Moisture from a leak had traveled beneath the carpet and into the padding and flooring below, a problem that's easy to miss without lifting the carpet. We pulled back the affected carpet to expose the damp materials underneath so drying could begin, then positioned air movers to pull out trapped moisture and improve airflow across the area. Getting to water beneath carpet early helps limit further damage to flooring, baseboards, and nearby materials.
